I had to change the title from shows that I watch and books that I read because I plan to blog about everything that I watch and everything that I read. This blog is about my thoughts concerning the material that I allow to come into my mind and how little or big affect it has on me

Sister Wives Season Finale
So yesterday I watched the Season Finale of Sister Wives. On the finale Robyn gets married to Kody. Robyn thought it would be fair and special to include all the wives (Meri, Janelle, & Christine) in wedding planning. The wives were able to choose their own flowers & dresses and also helped Robyn select her reception location. Robyn, while at the dress shop pretended to look at wedding gowns and didn't tell the wives that she had already selected a dress with Kody. During a couch session Kody announces to the wives that he has actually seen the dress and was there with Robyn when she selected the dress. The wives are upset and Christine actually leaves the set after hearing of this. My thoughts... TLC did a great job with Sister Wives. The show was not over dramatic at all and at the same time it made me want to watch the show because I was curious to see how all these people tolerate one another. I was surprised that none of the wives had a problem with one another and didn't mind sharing Kody. What makes me mad and I'm sure other viewers agree, is that the wives fuss over little things instead of big things, Christine especially. On one episode the wives were upset to find out that Kody kissed Robyn before they were married. How can one possible be upset with a kiss when he kisses, licks, and bangs (exclude my language) other women all day? Him KISSING another woman that he plans on marrying would be the least of my worries. The wedding dress "scandal", to me that was the straw that broke the camels back. Why does Robyn have to share EVERYTHING with the other wives, just because she's coming into the family? OK OK I get it Robyn is not just marrying Kody she is marrying all of us so we should be included, NO that is not how it works, well at least not in my book. I think the ladies have some serious jealously issues that they hide and try not to show because they have chosen that lifestyle. I just believe the ladies release those jealously issues at the wrong time. I wish the family the best of luck, it seems as though the BROWN family is a happy clan.

Student Suicide
Tyler Clementi committed suicide after he was taped by his roommate having sex with another man. Tyler was a freshman student at Rutgers University and had only been there a month. According to news reports Dharun Ravi, Tyler's roommate, tweeted "Roomate asked for the room till midnight. I went into Mollys room and turned on webcam. I saw him making out with a dude.Yay" Tyler's facebook status read "Jumping off the gw bridge sorry". Police found Tyler's body along with his wallet and student id card. Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei have been charged with two counts each of invasion of privacy. Dharun faces two additional counts of invasion of privacy for attempting to use the camera to view and transmit another sexual encounter involving the same student. My thoughts... bullying has to stop and I think Ravi and Molly should be held accountable for their actions. However, I do not think Ravi is to blame for Tyler committing suicide, nor do I think our government is to blame. As a child who was bullied by schoolmates, I never told my teacher and I never told my parents. Sure my feelings were hurt everyday and the huge gap between my teeth wasn't getting any smaller, but I never once thought about committing suicide. What was done to Tyler is not even a fair comparison to my bullying experience, but in both situations society turned a blind eye to bullying, almost as if it's a rite of passage. There is a lack of compassion or even etiquette when it comes to bullying. No one came up to me after I was teased and said "Don't worry everything will be ok". It makes me wonder if anyone went up to Ravi and Molly and said " You guys are sick and losers, I will be reporting this to school authorities and I hope you both get expelled" or did anyone go up to Tyler and say " Hey man what they did was wrong and I know you are hurting right now, but I'm here with you"? RIP Tyler Clementi
